Please Support Tina's 7-Week Recovery & 30k of Medical Debt.

I'm not even sure how to start this, but here it goes. My best friend Tina has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She has been one of my friends who never allowed too much time to pass us by. She has always been the one who worries how everyone else is doing and being there for them. Since our freshman year of high-school her personality has been fun loving and caring. 27 years later she's still the same. She wholeheartedly cares and worries for others. Which now that I'm thinking about it, her career choice fits her more than I ever realized. While her boys where in high-school she went to college and went all the way. She became a therapist, but not for a private company, she made a decision to get her Doctorate in Social working. She could have easily gone for the money, but she made a decision to take on the ones who needed her the most. Instead of a private practice she chooses the public, whose brains are twisted from pressure of life. What she does is not everyone's cup of tea, but she has always been the one who cares more than anyone I know.

I'm in shock as she tries her best to keep her sprits high. She is always worried about us when it's time to worry about her. I recently found out she's in 30k of debt. She has insurance and works as a social worker therapist and after having insurance she is still in 30k debt and about to be off work without pay for 7 weeks, after her double mastectomy.

It took her a while to come open about what she was going through. I respected her privacy and have patiently waited for her to become comfortable with people knowing. Once she became open with letting everyone know I asked if I could throw her a fundraiser. Tina's answer was "Others are worse off than me." My jaw dropped. She said this to me after she lost all her hair, still working 40+ hours with barely any energy, and she's not finished with Chemo. I know she lives within her means, but paycheck to paycheck. Here she is again putting herself last. She has 3rd stage aggressive breast cancer, 30k in debt to add on and will go 7 weeks without pay. She has lots of bills, divorced mother, and one son still living with her. She goes to work every day because she wants and needs to work, and she says others have it worse than her. She never was the one with her hand out even when it’s time to be.

I know 30k is a high number so I'm praying we can help her with the 7 weeks she will be off work without pay. Lets help my best friend be able to recover. Please help her feel for the 1st time in her life that we want to care and help her, help her know people love her and want to help her for a change.

Everything will go straight to her banking account. I just want to help her recover and get through the hardest time in her life knowing others care about her. She deserves to feel this. I am not alone wanting to help her, so please help us prove

this to her.
