Please support Trisha, Kiyra and Sam

On the morning of Saturday, November 5, our family changed forever. Three of our family members were shot by someone we thought was “family.” Trisha (Burton) Cain (43) passed away immediately. Samantha Burton (35) survived but is in critical condition. Kiyra, Sam’s 15-year-old daughter, survived but will deal with both physical and mental effects from this day on. Trisha had a deep passion for animals and her family. She leaves behind 2 amazing children, Payton and Austin, who now have to live the rest of their young lives without their mother and plan their mom’s funeral. Sam is a single mom, raising 2 teenagers who are her “everything”. Kiyra is a talented artist attending vocational classes at her high school. Jah’siyah, Sam’s son, is left to deal with the aftermath of this tragedy on so many levels.

We will never comprehend why this senseless act happened, but what we do know, the lives of these women and those they touched will be forever changed.
