Please Support Uju's path to Naturalization

Hello, my name is Uju, and I'm writing this to ask for your support as I take a crucial step towards becoming a United States citizen. for the past nine years of my life I've called this country home, contributing to my community, working hard, and building a life here. Now, I’m on the verge of fulfilling a dream that I’ve worked toward for years: becoming a U.S. citizen.

As a permanent resident/green card holder who has been living in the U.S. for nine years I am now eligible to apply for naturalization, but the process is expensive. The application fee alone is $725, plus additional costs for biometric services, legal assistance (if needed), and other expenses. This total can exceed $1,500 or more, which is a financial burden I’m struggling to cover on my own.

Though I’ve worked hard to support myself and my family, the cost of naturalization is simply more than I can afford right now. This is why I’m reaching out to my friends, family and kind-hearted strangers for help.

Becoming a U.S. citizen means so much to me. It will grant me the ability to vote, to fully participate in the civic life of this country, and to feel truly at home. It will also provide greater security for me and my family, as it will protect us from the uncertainties of immigration status. With citizenship, I can fully pursue my dreams and have a greater voice in shaping the future of this country that has given me so much opportunity.
