Help Neville Perry from the Vic Diggers

Hi, Our names are Nick, Jayden and Shalee Perry, and we are the children of Neville Perry. Most of you may know our Dad from the show on Discovery called Aussie Gold Hunters as one of the 'Vic Diggers'. 

 

To us, he is our hardworking, passionate Dad, who has so much love for his family, friends, gold detecting and mining. 

 

If you are from the Goldfields & surrounds in Victoria, you may know our Dad personally and understand the history and love he has for this industry. 

 

We are starting this page because we would love to have the support behind him to fight the government bodies that are trying to prosecute him and strip him of his living of mining his own land. This process so far has taken away three years of his income, plus more due to legal fees. They have put this private lands on a government register to protect the landscape for the visual view of the public. Not only does it stop mining, it stops even the farming of majority the land, even though the land is zoned farming. The land was not on the government register when it was purchased. The government applied for the lands to go on the register in 2020 without the land owners consent. This land was purchased in 2016. 

 

Our Dad is a very proud man and is refusing to seek out Centrelink payments or support, which has taken an enormous toll on him financially, especially with the ongoing legal bills coming in with no result. We, as his children, have also been trying to help financially towards these legal fees.

 

As most people would be aware from the program Aussie Gold Hunters, our Dad has invested his entire life savings into the land and this mining project. He wishes to continue working on his freehold lands without interference from departmental bureaucrats or government officials from taking control and authority on not only our Dads lands but all freehold lands owners. 

 

Those of you that know him personally would be aware that from these circumstances, he has been under significant stress to the point where it has drastically put much pressure on his health mentally and physically. Combined with this stress, over the last few months, he has been in ICU, in and out of hospital with many health complications, which we believe is related to his ongoing stress and anxiety with this case. This upsets us greatly as a family, as our Dads health is our main priority. With this financial stress hanging above him, we would love to contribute in as many ways as possible. 

 

If you can donate and support Neville, this would help our Dad and help all other freehold landowners throughout Australia. We would love to help him keep fighting and support all other landowners.
