Taiwo and Kehinde were given birth to in the year 2020 during the CORONA Virus pandemic through cesarean both were discharged in good health condition. They were observed not talking at 12 month when compared with their peers, as soon as that was observed they were taking primary Health care facility for assessment where we were told that they are okay. At age 18month they were taking back to the primary Health care centre when no improvement was observed. That was when we were being referred to General Hospital for further clinical review. The General Hospital later referred to University Teaching Hospital where they were being diagnosed with bilateral profound hearing loss consequent upon review of their full audiological assessment investigation. It is then that bilateral Cochlear implanting is recommended for them as the only option to rescue them from being permanently deaf.

Ever since we were confronted with the challenge of seeking medical solution to the speech and hearing of the twins we have spent all our life saving on radiological x-ray investigation among which are MRI Brain Scan and High Resolution CT Scan Temporal bone for both of them.

We have engaged Top ENT surgeon Consultant online consultation to discuss the twins hearing and speech rehabilitation and we have identified Fortis Hospital New Delhi India and Apollo Hospital New Delhi India as good facility for the Cochlear implanting but we are faced with financial incapacitate as we have spent all our life saving on the twins hearing challenge. Every time I think of when and how the twins will live a normal life like every other children my heart is always overwhelm is sorrow as we (parent) could not afford the proposed $62,000 required for the Cochlear implanting surgery.
