Hi My name is Emaje , I'm 28 years old. I suffer from reoccurring ( since 2018 after Major heart surgery) Pericarditis, which is inflammation of the heart sac. ** I recently increased my goal due to me, losing my insurance and I am paying for all of my medical needs completely out out-of-pocket including appointments AND testing prior and post Rochester . ** I've had 3 heart procedures/surgery due to my heart condition called " Innaproiate sinus Tachycardia ". And due to the trauma that was done to my chest wall and my Left and Right atrium I have suffered from reoccurring Pericarditis. I've tried many prescriptions and injections (Methotrexate and Arcalyst) to heal my inflammation However all have failed. As of recently my doctors at Piedmont - Atlanta gave up on me as they believed they exhausted all of their safe options for me and suggested I relocate to Mayo Clinic - Jacksonville. While here the lead doctor of my care has most recently suggested after 3 months of being here full time that I see a pericarditis specialist at their Rochester location after I complete some last min testing. At this location they have experimental drugs being used for research that may help heal my heart. I'm asking for donations to help pay for both my medical bills/expenses, travel such as flights and Uber and housing while there ( and I will also be traveling back and forth to the Jacksonville location as needed. ) .
