Plunging for Dollars in Lewisburg!
Tax deductible
This year at the 18th Annual Lewisburg Polar Bear Plunge, we're trying something new to raise more money for Lewisburg Neighborhoods, get more people involved, and (of course) have more fun! A few willing participants, reticent to plunge, have agreed to plunge, but only if we raise set amounts of money for Lewisburg Neighborhoods.
If we raise even $1, Gary Hardcastle will plunge. With $750 raised, Steven Beattie will plunge. Andrew Stuhl will plunge if we raise $1,000. At $2,000, Lura good of Hanna Radio hops in! With $3,000, Jordi Comas plunges. If we raise $5,000, Nick Gilson (CEO of Gilson Snow) jumps in to join the cause. Olympic medalist Joey Lye will throw her hat into the ring if we are able to raise $7,500. Finally (drumroll please), if we raise $10,000 Kendy Alvarez will plunge.
Every dollar counts!
Since 2007, Lewisburg Neighborhoods has helped bring in over $4 million in grant funds for infrastructure projects that mitigate flood risk, improve and enhance our downtown streets, and make our community safer and inviting for all. Our recent programming has grown to include downtown ped-xing signs, the annual River Road Holiday, fall and spring tree plantings throughout Lewisburg, and litter pickups.
Lewisburg Neighborhood’s future plans build upon what we do best: extending the Rail Trail across Rt.15, implementing more flood mitigation projects, improving flood communication and education, and making downtown safer for walkers and bikers.
