Support Scott's Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Skylar Hittle and I’m making this GoFundMe for my father Scott Roseboom. Some of you may know him by Rosie. He is a captain on the real Ginger he has been a captain/fisherman the greater part of my life. He’s definitely had a rough go of things the past couple of years healthwise, but that doesn’t stop him from smiling right every day when it’s time to wake up sometimes at three or four in the morning to get everything set and ready for the day before the clientele come out and he loves it!

When he was at work one day, he hit his hand, and there was a small bruise on his palm. He went home and went to sleep, and woke up with a bruise down to his elbow. And he was struggling with a bloody nose, but he pushed through and went on the boat and took out Michigan out of doors.! They had a great day, but his bloody nose never stopped a coworker and close friend told him he needed to go to the hospital when he went in they realize there was internal bleeding and did a scope to see where it was coming from they stumbled upon a mass blocking his Pancreas from functioning properly. Upon finding the mass they did a biopsy which came back cancerous.
Pancreatic cancer
At that moment, we knew nothing else besides, he had to have a tube in to help drain the liver. A Whipple is needed to remove the cancer or chemo. Neither option leaves him able to work, but a Whipple gives him a better chance of getting back on the boat sooner and a higher quality and quantity of life if successful on removing the cancer, which is what we’re praying for pancreatic cancer is definitely not something that goes down without fighting but the thing is neither is my dad in 2016. His heart was only working at 13% and an Lvad was placed miraculously he fought long and hard and got his heart back up to currently 55% which leaves him unable to be a candidate for surgery for the Whipple according to the first surgeon that we talked to We’re getting a PET scan done and a second opinion and hopes thuat chemo isn’t what’s needed and that he can hopefully he have the surgery and beat this as for the foreseeable future he was unable to work, and it will be a long road either way but per usual life goes on and bills are still due on top of the hospital bills that were accrued while trying to figure out what was going on I’ve set up this GoFundMe in hopes to help pay for his medical expenses bills, living expenses, and anything else that’s needed that I forgot to mention we are working on applying for disability for him and Medicaid in the meantime the calls keep coming…. If you’re able to help anything counts even a share or a prayer

Thank you all❤️
