Invest in Her Future: Support UniArk's Women's Scholarship
Take a stand for educational justice by donating for the education of disadvantaged women.
Education is a powerful tool that can change lives and shape futures. Access to education can mean the difference between a life of oppression and a future filled with limitless possibilities. By donating to UniArk's Women's Scholarship, you can help give women the opportunity to receive a higher education and build a brighter future for herself and her community.
Why is this scholarship needed?
Many places around the world discriminate against women and place barriers on women seeking to enter higher education. A prime example is Afghanistan, the only country that has put a legal ban on women and girl’s education. More than half of the country’s population are now homebound and unable to access schools and universities, a privilege that we take for granted. Former school sites and women’s University accommodations are now used as military spaces, transforming areas once dedicated to personal and professional growth into its antithesis.
Another example can be found in Trice, a Ghanaian woman seeking to improve the lives of others through clinical psychology. Trice has been accepted into six Master’s programs in the UK, but cannot attend because she does not have the finances available to cover her tuition fees, alongside the fees for her visa application. An investment in women like Trice extends beyond the recipient of the scholarship; it is an investment in a future of positive change driven by these women.
Your donation can help break down barriers, provide access to knowledge, and empower a woman to reach her full potential.
In the face of such injustice and oppression, what can you do to help us facilitate opportunities for these young women with amazing potential?
UniArk, a UK registered charity (1199070), is not going to simply stand by and watch this injustice unfold. Our members are working hard and concentrating their efforts to fundraise at universities and colleges across the UK and US by holding events, film screenings, art sales, and car boot sales to offer scholarships to disadvantaged women. Will you join the UniArk team in raising the funds to facilitate a higher education opportunity for a bright woman to study in the UK?
UniArk is facilitating a platform for you to mark your stance against structural injustice against women, such as the Taliban’s tyranny or the financial barriers faced by Trice. We ask you to join UniArk’s campaign now and donate. Your donation to this scholarship, even if it may feel like a drop in the ocean, will speak volumes to the oppressors. Support our efforts to facilitate educational opportunities and the changes it begets by donating and sharing this campaign with your networks.

About UniArk:
UniArK is a relatively small and recently established registered charity (1199070), founded with the aim to aid students from persecuted and minority backgrounds to navigate higher education opportunities and applications for the UK/US and European universities. UniArk has successfully supported over 100 students in its 2 year existence, with 3 of its students receiving fully funded scholarships in the US and UK. However, for students who are not awarded the highly competitive, fully funded scholarships, the financial barriers they face still prevent them from attending. To be so close and entirely deserving of achieving one’s dream, only to be prevented from doing so in the final hour, is another disappointment to women who have worked so hard to overcome the barriers surrounding them even just to apply for University. We are now starting the UniArk Women’s Scholarship in order to address what we recognise as one of the most common barriers to our high-achieving, dedicated, and brilliant women mentees - the cost of attending university.
