PNW Element Meet 2023

On July 9, 2023, we are having our 2nd Annual PNW Element Meet at the LeMay Museum in Tacoma, WA.

Last year, our first year, we had 103 Elements, making this one of the largest Element events ever. We are hoping for an even bigger turnout in 2023.

This year we are doing things a little differently. We are moving from the plaza in front of the museum down to the side where there is a huge grass field. Here, everyone can gather in the same space.

We are also trying to keep this event free of any admission fee. We didn't charge an admission fee in 2022 and we are determined to not charge an admission fee in 2023. What costs we had in 2022 were covered with individual donations from the event organizers Mark Manuel, Jeff Stites / ElementDriven and Rich Williams. However, moving to the grass field comes with additional costs which we need to cover. We are seeking $4,000 which will cover the field rental, porta-potties, PA system rental, garbage service and a little extra for unforeseen expenses.

We are in the process of securing some corporate sponsorships but will still have a shortfall. So, to keep from charging an admission fee we are asking for individual contributions from the Element community. Any excess funds will be donated to Wet Noses Foster Paws (www.wetnosesfosterpaws.org), a local dog rescue we are raising money for at the event. Last year we raised $600 for them, and 5 or 6 pets were adopted.
