Hi, I’m Chris, a qualified NHS therapist with over ten years of experience helping people manage anxiety, low mood, learning disabilities and trauma.

I’ve worked in CAMHS, Talking Therapies, and local authority social care teams— and I’ve seen the impact of long NHS waiting lists on those who desperately need support.

Why This Matters

In the UK, many people seeking help for low-intensity mental health problems like anxiety or depression face wait times of 12 weeks or more — often just to begin therapy.

During this time, people are left to cope alone, and many worsen before ever accessing help.

That’s why I’m creating CBT with Me — a free app based on NHS Talking Therapies principles that offers clinically-informed support, instantly.


What the App Will Do

CBT with Me will provide:

Structured CBT modules for anxiety and low mood

Thought diaries, mood tracking, and goal setting

Psychoeducation on key CBT techniques like behavioural activation and worry management

AI-powered support to guide users through exercises, encourage progress, and simulate basic check-ins

Access to interactive tools based on real CBT worksheets.

This is not an app for crisis or complex issues.
It's designed for low-intensity psychological support — the kind people often wait months to receive.

I want this app to be completely free at the point of use — just like the NHS.

But creating a high-quality app takes time, expertise, and money.
