Pocky's Pacemaker - Please Help!

Hello! My name is Pocky and I live in Flushing Queens with my loving human parents Elisa and Greg. They rescued me from the streets of Korea 2 years ago and have given me a life full of cuddles, care and endless love. They have always made my health a top priority so I can live a long, happy life, and share my puppy love with every human I meet!

 

Very recently, I hadn't been feeling myself, and started developing seizures, and after a couple scary doctors visits, and 24 hour heart monitoring, I have been diagnosed with a very rare and fatal heart disease called Sick Sinus Syndrome, a cardiac condition that affects my heart rate and rhythm. Sometimes my heart stops beating for as long as 8 seconds, and other times, its beating 200bpm! The cause is unknown, and the effects are terrifying, and but thankfully there is a solution.

 

Elisa and Greg would do anything to fix my broken heart, and in 1 week I will be undergoing a very serious surgery to receive a Pacemaker, so I can continue to bring joy to those around me for many more years!!

 

Unfortunately, there is no financial assistance from insurance, and the cost of this surgery can be as much as $10,000!!

 

My human parents have done so much for me in my little life, and my only wish is to help them any way I can in their effort to keep me living and loving longer.
