Poe needs lifesaving FIP medication!
Tax deductible
Hi, my name is Elsie and I’m partnering with a 501c3 organization called Brooklyn Kitty Committee to help a formerly feral community cat called Poe. He is very sick with an illness called FIP, which is 100% fatal if left untreated.
He’s been inside with us since 10/4/23 and receiving a daily injection of lifesaving medication since 10/9. The medication costs roughly $40 every single day and the treatment is 84 days. We also need to get bloodwork at specific intervals to make sure the treatment is working as intended.
During his time in our care, we’ve witnessed steady improvement in not only his condition, but his demeanor. It turns out Poe is quite friendly with humans! Once he’s fully recovered, we look forward to finding him a loving forever family. To reach that goal, we really need your help.
We expect our vet bills for Poe to surpass $4,000 during the the next couple of months. We are asking the community where Poe lived the first years of his life to support his journey. Even the smallest contribution helps. Every dollar will go directly to the cost of his medication and follow up vet visits.
We will post updates here, as well as receipts, but you’re also invited to follow along on Instagram for the most current information on how Poe is doing! Find us @BrooklynKittyCommittee or @ElsieRescuesCats
