Poe’s Vet Expenses

Don protégé
We adopted Poe and his brother 2 years ago. In August 2022, Poe started exhibiting alarming symptoms that indicated a urinary blockage. He was hospitalized for nearly a week. He appeared to get better but then the symptoms returned. He was not reblocked, but diagnosed with feline idiopathic cystitis. This reoccurs in most cats who are prone to have urinary blocks. Its unpredictable and difficult to manage. He is not able to pee in the litterbox, resulting in him urinating himself several times a day. He is in so much pain and it has broken my heart beyond repair to see him so sick. He is taking 3 medications a day but still shows no improvement. He is being medicated every 4 hours. We are incredibly exhausted and our bank accounts are drained. We have racked up thousands in credit card debt trying to treat him. We have also been dealing with vets who won’t answer our phone calls and and when they do, they barely give us the time of day. This was our very last resort. The donations will go towards paying for treatments and medications, his perscription CD food, but mostly so he can get CU surgery that will widen his urethral opening to prevent complications and he can use the litterbox normally. If you can donate or share it would mean the absolute world to me, my animals are the loves of my life.
