UPDATE:

Preparations are now underway to launch a National Poetry Tour to commence in the Spring of 2025, connecting poets and their communities together through the arts while spreading the message of peace.

Join the US National Beat Poet Laureate, Mark Lipman, as he travels with a caravan of poets across the entire continent, while filming the adventure for a new television documentary series, Endless Horizons.

The Vision:

As a poet, it’s my set belief that we can change the world through our words and actions, that with the proper intent we can create a better world to live in, one of sustainability and peace.

With that motivation in mind, I’ve decided to take steps to put that into action by launching a years-long world tour as a Poetry Ambassador for Peace.

Throughout this voyage, I will be connecting with local cultural institutions and various artistic communities to share an international message of solidarity and peace through music, art and poetry.

In an effort to expand and connect our global communities and poetry networks, I’ll be documenting this journey for both radio and television broadcast, which will also be made available online.

Preparing for the Road:

Having located the perfect vehicle, a 2010 International Bus, I’m currently converting this into a mobile library and tour vehicle complete with a stage built from the wheelchair lift.

Deciding the Route:

Although much of the journey will unfold as the road and circumstances allow,
that many tangents and side adventures will be taken in the natural course of the once in a lifetime opportunities that arise, the principle objective, that of connecting communities through poetry and the arts, will lead the way.

Through existing and ever-expanding poetry networks, readings, performances, happenings and events will be scheduled to take place in cities and towns, at schools, universities, community spaces and more all around the planet, as I help to bring local voices onto a world sized stage.

It’s my hope that through this goodwill poetry tour we can raise awareness of our own ability to build a different world, one where we work together as a true global community that builds upon the bonds of friendship and peace as the vision and way forward for a sustainable future for us all.
