SUPPORT POETS WITH PARKINSON'S

We are Poets with Parkinson's, an international community of poets living with Parkinson's disease. We are building a new online home to provide a platform for others like us to collaborate, learn and showcase our art. We are trying to raise £500 in five weeks to cover the setup costs and the first year of operation.
Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition that causes problems in the brain and worsens over time. There are over 40 symptoms which affect our mental and physical health. Many of us live daily with mobility, mood, sleep and speech problems, but we have found that writing gives us joy, self-confidence and a sense of belonging. It has become our passion, our therapy and our voice. Sometimes poetry says what we are literally unable to speak.
We are a group of individuals all affected by Parkinson's and we volunteer because of our passion for poetry and our community. We have made connections with fellow Poets with Parkinson's all over the world and would like to build us all a new home, a safe place for creative exchange and discussion, for teaching, learning and developing our craft.
Poetswall.com will be the first international website of Poets with Parkinson's, a platform where our usually quiet voices can be heard. Many people with Parkinson's feel isolated, but this will be an inclusive and welcoming place where they can come and experience creativity and acceptance.
We need to raise £500 to cover the costs of creating and running the site. We can do this with just one hundred small gifts of £5 or 5 Euros. Will you help us?
Please help us to grow our voice.
Thank you.
