Pokey Joe's Mast Cell Tumor Surgery

This is Pokey Joe. We rescued him after he was abandoned at a kennel back in 2014. He is a sassy little pibble that loves peanut butter and his rescue brother Baxter. In February of 2023, during a routine office visit, the vet took a sample of a soft mass on his leg and found Mast Cells. This is a type of skin cancer that can be very aggressive depending on the location and metastasis. The good news is the dog-oncologist did not see other tumors on imaging and does not think it has spread to lymph nodes. He had surgery to remove the tumor and is recovering at home. Unfortunately, this surgery has cost over $5000. On the off chance that you want to help cover some of his medical bills, we started this GoFundMe page.
