Wildfire in Jasper ( Pokotskyi family lost everything)

Hello.

We are a small family from Ukraine. Iarema, Mariia Luiza and Vanessa. We just had started a new life in Jasper, Alberta after loosing the ability to continue our life back in our beloved Ukraine due to the war.

We landed in Canada January this year and we were just getting on our feet. We both had steady jobs in Jasper. Our 4,5 year old Vanessa was attending preschool.

On July 22 evacuation was called and we left with the 35,000 other people from Jasper leaving our new life and most of personal belongings behind. It was horror and panic all over again. Therefore we moved in our new apartment just three weeks before the wildfire and unfortunately had no insurance for the contents in our rental apartment. We are left destitute. We hope you will consider helping support us through this very difficult time. Our hearts are broken. We would not ask for help if we had insurance.

We have a strong hope to return back to Jasper and continue our life there. However now we need to start from scratch again.
