Police Trauma Dog K9 Nala needs help!

A little about us - We are a fully operational nonprofit organization that provides service dogs, training and 24/7/365 support to combat veterans and Police Trauma dogs to law enforcement agencies.

A little about K9 Nala -

K9 Nala is a 6 month old golden retriever, who has been sworn in with Elizabethtown Borough Police Department, in Lancaster county Pennsylvania, as a police trauma dog. Her duties include but are not limited to - providing peer support, morale and promoting mental health awareness within the agency, as well as provide emotional support for victims of crimes, and she is also utilized to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

About two weeks ago K9 Nala began limping one morning. After 3 vet consultations it was determined that she needed to have immediate arthroscopic shoulder surgery. There had been a fragment of cartilage stuck in between her shoulder joint causing her to limp and be in a great deal of pain. She was taken to an orthopedic specialist Dr Galindo in Allentown PA to have the surgery completed. Dr Galindo and his team were fast, efficient, and compassionate. While K9 Nala has a few months of healing underway, therapy and resting ahead of her, Dr Galindo feels she will be as good as new and back on the job in no time at all. He was even kind enough to give us a Law enforcement discount for her procedure.

Now for the hard part, we need help to cover the cost of her surgery and offset this expense. If you didn’t know most police K9s have very limited to zero funding for their K9 departments. They rely solely on donations from the community to continue the work they do and provide. K9 Nala is such a phenomenal asset to her department and community. She’s already been to many events, and steals the hearts of everyone she meets. If you would find in your heart to help K9 Nala our community, agency and organization would be forever grateful.
