Police Unity Tour - Delaware State Police (Sussex)

Dear Supporter,

Every year hundreds of law enforcement officers die in the line of duty. Nothing can ever replace them to their family and friends. The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. allows for their memories to live on and honors these men and women forever. The Police Unity Tour Incorporated was formed in 1997 by a group of law enforcement officers from New Jersey who rode their bicycles from Florham Park, New Jersey to the Memorial in Washington, D.C. with the purpose of raising awareness of those law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty and financial support for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum. Since 1997 the Police Unity Tour has grown to include nine chapters and over 2300 members nationwide.

Because of your continuing generosity the Police Unity Tour has become the single largest supporter of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. We are proud of our accomplishments. You can be proud too, knowing that you are contributing to this worthy cause. The Police Unity Tour is a non-profit organization under section 501© (3) of the Internal Revenue code, therefore, donations made to the Police Unity Tour are fully tax deductible. With help like yours, it allows the Police Unity Tour to continue to be the largest supporter of the Memorial as well as a founding partner in the National Law Enforcement Museum.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund includes:

 Operating a Memorial Visitors Center and Museum
 Researching old and new deaths of officers killed in the line ofduty
 Conducting ceremonies and other events at the Memorial
 Working towards preventing police fatalities
 Promoting the Memorial as a major tourist attraction
 Recognizing the anniversaries of all line of duty deaths
 Maintenance of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial

The motto of the Police Unity Tour is "We Ride For Those Who Died."
On behalf of the entire law enforcement community, we would like to thank you for your continued support and consideration of this sponsorship.
