This is a fundraising appeal for my good friend and colleague Mark, his partner and their two year old daughter.
Mark is a serving police officer and his partner a Paramedic.
On the night of Thursday March 19th 2015, their house was broken into and set ablaze whilst they were away visiting family. The resulting fire destroyed their home and most of their possessions.
As far as they can tell, the only thing that was stolen was their daughter's piggy bank, which was subsequently found nearby, smashed and empty.
In a further cruel twist of fate, it transpires that their home insurance had expired only nineteen hours before, leaving them unable to make a claim.
This dreadful incident comes just as they were beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel in what has already been a very difficult time and traumatic time in their lives.
This sick act of vandalism has left them devastated and homeless, all for the sake of the saving's their daughter's piggy bank.
Please find it in your hearts to donate what you can to help a truly wonderful family, who spend their lives helping others, and are now in desperate need of help themselves.
