Polk County VFW Flag Fund

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) is a non-profit organization that exists to assist veterans, active duty and their families. The VFW helps veterans find camaraderie and connection to local resources and benefits and assists those local veterans who may find themselves in need of financial assistance. Our post has helped local veterans pay electric bills, catch up on rent, helped pay for car repairs and helped deployed service members' families while their loved ones were gone.
This past year the Dallas Oregon VFW Post 3203 made the decision it was time to change our name to reflect our true geographic and membership location. With approval from both State and National, we are now the Polk County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3203. Now we can represent more than just the city of Dallas. Our membership has always been pulled from the surrounding cities within the Polk County lines, now our name reflects that.
As a newly elected Post Commander, my goal is to reengage post-pandemic with the community. One of the ways to do that is to be able to correct the Post name and our merchandise to display this name change. That being said we need to update our Post Banner, which is the flag that leads us in parades, community events, post events and post ceremonies. So, we are asking for your help in raising the funds to replace our banner, our tablecloths, our official seal and our stationery to reflect this name change.
Thank you for your continued support of our Post and our local veterans.
