Pollution Prevention Project
Tax deductible
We are three seniors from Farmington High School who are motivated to create awareness on the topic of air pollution. Our goal is to reach out to establishments that educate and promote the necessity of keeping the air clean in order to benefit individual’s health. Some of the organizations that we are prompting to raise money for include:
Coalition for Clean Air→ Coalition for Clean Air was founded in 1971 and is the only statewide organization in California working exclusively on air quality issues. From creating the idea for the original Smog Check program in 1981 to ensuring the first national ban on the toxic dry cleaning chemical perchloroethylene to helping pass legislation to put 1 million electric vehicles on road in California by 2025, CCA has paved the way for socially and environmentally responsible air policy nationally and worldwide.
Due to their efforts, along with those of our California Climate Equity Coalition partners at The Greenlining Institute, Asian Pacific Environmental Network, Public Advocates and SCOPE LA and many other advocates, hundreds of millions of dollars in emissions-reducing programs flow to disadvantaged communities.
We hope that you will be able to help elicit positive change in the community’s air by donating and staying aware of the effects that the air has on the health of the human population. Thank you!
