Polly 2 Paws Amputation—Please Help!

Hello, my name is Kacie, and I am the proud owner of the world's most adorable cat, Polly (@polly2paws). Polly is pure sunshine, and likes to make sure that everyone she meets knows it. I mean, look at this girl.Polly was dealt a rough hand in life--or perhaps just not enough feet. Polly had already lost both of her back feet by the time she was scooped up by Tree House Humane Society (Bucktown-Chicago) and eventually adopted by me in early 2016. Watch a video about us here! 
Polly was doing amazingly well on two feet, until an unfortunate accident earlier this week. On Wednesday, Polly attempted to run across a patch of hard floor, and somehow managed to tear the tip of her very sensitive back left nub down to the bone. I rushed her to the vet, where she was quickly admitted for the emergency amputation of her nub.She spent 3 days in the ICU until I could finally bring her home. The surgery went well, but Polly had trouble tolerating the strong pain medications she was given. She had to stay in the hospital until they found the right combination. We are also still waiting for biopsy results to determine if there is any sign of infection in her bones or tissue.
Now that she's comfortable at home, I can finally breathe again--until I remember the bill. It's really very difficult for me to reach out for help like this, but Polly's accident has forced me to make some financial sacrifices that I was sadly not prepared to make. I truly do not even have a savings account to drain (which I would in a heartbeat, if I did have one). A little help from our friends, old and new, would make all the difference for me and my little cat family. Please consider donating whatever amount you see fit, and 100% of it will go towards Polly's surgery.
