Polson M.S. Odyssey Worlds 2018

On March 17, 2018, the Polson Middle School team from Madison, Connecticut participated in the statewide Odyssey of the Mind competition. Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem solving competition that pushes students to connect stem fields with the creative arts. This team placed second out of seventeen teams in their division, earning them a triumphant return to World Finals to be held in Ames, Iowa, May 23-26, 2018. At Iowa State University they will compete for the World title alongside more than 850 teams from the U.S. and abroad. 

This team began their journey together when they were in first grade. Eight years later they are returning to World Finals for the third time. Odyssey of the Mind has been an incredibly rewarding experience for these kids. They have learned patience, respect for each other, creative thinking, stem, and leadership skills. 

As they grow and change, they are excited to take on this challenge again. The team includes Ella Bennett, Chloe Burt, Alanna Fay, Kelly Fay, Liam Lynch, Erika Rupp-Coppi, and Mahir Thadani.
