In Memory Of Jayson M. Poluka: Children’s Education Fund

In honor of Jayson’s memory, the family humbly requests in lieu of flowers, to please consider contributing to the Poluka Children's Education Fund. This will help ensure educational support for Jameson and Callan following their father's passing.

After 25 straight days in the hospital, my boy's daddy and my partner, Jayson Poluka, passed away peacefully yesterday. My husband endured more pain than most people will in several lifetimes. Today, he is finally free from medicine, needles, surgeries, hospitals, and the stress of managing a rare disease.

He had a medical rap sheet that no one should ever have to handle, but he fought every day with a positive disposition through this lengthy list of health challenges and so much more in his 42 years of life.

- 8+ brain surgeries

- One brain shunt

- 5+ eye surgeries

- 2+ partial nephrectomies

- 2+ years with metastatic kidney cancer

- One fistula surgery

- Dialysis 3+ years

- One double nephrectomy

- One collapsed lung

The thing with Jayson is that he made sure his medical conditions did not define him. Most people never realized all his battle wounds until the last couple of months of his life. Today and moving forward, we will remember him not as a sick man but as someone who was driven to provide for his children in any way possible.
