We're going east!
POOR Magazine is a by and for poor people Bay Area media/arts/culture/housing/gardening/education and decolonization family. It's a struggle everyday just to get around Town or over the Bay Bridge and back again because POOR Magazine is indeed poor but we do it by any means necessary. But now we have the chance to go the East Coast!!
We are bringing the Stolen Land/Hoarded Resources tour to the othercoast and we need your help! This healing medicine and revolutionary community reparations movement will be in Lenape, Shinnecock, Mohegan, Pequot, Niantic, Nipmuc, Mattabesic, Schaghticoke, Paugussett and Wampanoag territory aka New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Massachutts.
What is the Stolen Land/Hoarded Resources Tour?
We humbly and peacefully walk into "wealthy" neighborhoods across the "U.S.", we will be offering land and stolen resource hoarders a chance to begin the very serious work of Decolonization by redistributing one or more of their hoarded and bordered stolen indigenous territory, buildings, homes, stocks, bonds, cash or trust funds to landless and indigenous people in the form of what we call Community Reparations.
Be a part of it
The tour has already taken place in Yelamu, Huichin and Tongva territory aka San Francisco, Oakland and Los Angeles, see the video above of the Huichin tour . Now we are walking alongside Picture the Homeless, The Poor Peoples Economic Human Rights Campaign, SURJ and Resource Generation NYC/Philly chapters to bring this tour east.
But we don't have any institution backing us and we need you to help get us poverty skolaz there.
We are part of a global poor and landless people's movement that is ever growing and needed more every day! But so often the very fact of being poor can isolate and make it hard for truly grass roots truly poor people led movements. Don't let that happen, help get us east and grow the self-determination movement that we all need to be free.
