Poppy & Fall emergencies Fundraiser
Tax deductible
It has been a hectic start to fall here at the sanctuary. Poppy was diagnosed with EPM. This is a disease caused by protozoa. Hind end weakness and lameness is a hallmark. Some meds were very kindly donated but he will need continued vet care and an additional month of treatment ($1500 not including vet exams). He has a vet exam in two weeks to re evaluate. The donated shed is finally getting some much needed repairs ($2000 not including roofing that will be done in the spring). We hope to add sand and crushed stone to cut down on mud near shed also ($600). The last item will be rubber mats for the inside of the shed ($1000). We also had an emergency expense today to address Nickle's front foot. The cow trimmer came out right away and found an abscess. He is feeling much better now that pressure has been relieved. Franklin and Crouton were also trimmed today $380. A very busy time at the sanctuary! If you'd like to help out we'd appreciate it. I know it has been a lot of asks recently. We can't do this work without wonderful people like you.
