So here's the story in a nutshell. My dad had been having back pain for weeks. After spiking a fever and basically being unable to move, had decided it was time to go to the hospital. After an x-ray, cat scan, and MRI the results were there in plain sight. He had a large spinal epidural abcess and needed surgery right away. He was life flighted from St. John to UH downtown for that surgery. We were told he would be in the hospital for a week for recovery, but after some unforseen complications, that week turned into a month. He's finally doing better and the next step from here is a rehab facility to help him walk again. Everyday is a struggle and getting back to normalcy will take time, but he'll get there. He's one of the tough ones.
For those of you who know my dad, you know he's kind, caring, and simple. Doesn't ask for anything, doesn't expect a lot. He would give you the shirt off his back and expect nothing in return. I know a lot of people say this, but with him it's true. Here's the thing, he'd never ask for any help, but I know these medical bills are going to be outrageous and I dont have the means to help much. So im here, doing the asking for him. Any little bit will help offset some of the stress these bills will cause aside from the already long road to recovery and being unable to work. And if you can't donate, just say a prayer. Those are more than appreciated as Im aware many of you have been doing just that. He doesn't know about this gofundme, so please, for those of you who have contact with him, keep it hush. Thank you for helping my "Pops" XOXO
