#Popupphilly started in January of 2016 when Jason Pinardo put an idea on Facebook. The goal was simple, raise 20k in 20 days and produce an event to remind our fellow Citizens in need know that, even if doesn't always feel like it, there are people out there who care about you.

With the help of the sponsors and the many friends made online the initial goal of 20k was exceeded in less than 72 hours. The event came together just as fast and on February 28th 2016 160 volunteers joined 130 guests for a day that touched the hearts of all involved.
