Hello Family and Friends,

We are reaching out to everyone in high hope and prayers. On July 13th 2020, my father Francisco “Pancho “Gonzalez ,was admitted to the Beverly Hospital in Montebello due to difficulty breathing. We were advised that he had Pneumonia in both his lungs and a few days later that he was in fact positive for Covid. He has been in the ICU since then and his lungs seemed to have worsened. The nurses have communicated to us that he is a true fighter and in good spirits but we all know how aggressive this virus is. His main concern and stress he has expressed is the financial care for his family with whom he resides, his wife and my mother Tere, myself his only daughter and his granddaughter Camila who are all truly the loves of his life. All 3 of us have since tested positive to Covid and thankfully we are only experiencing minor symptoms. Due to his illness our family has been forced to close my father’s store in Los Angeles “Pancho’s Market” which he has owned for 30 years and has only closed 3 times since he has been there. Our family relies solely on the income of me and my father. Our family will be in quarantine at least for the next 14+ days or until we are all cleared. We have all been so cautious, took all precautionary measures to avoid this virus and now the spread of it. This is the time we are in and it has hit our family hard, more than anything we pray for my father’s return home to us and to return to our normal lives. Until then we are asking from the bottom of our hearts to please help out our family during this very difficult and scary time as it has also caused a huge financial burden as well on our family.

Thank you to everyone for your thoughts, messages, prayers and well wishes. Please continue. Don’t stop.  We need all the prayers right now and please know they are working.

With all love and faith in God our family will prevail.

Message from Camila, Pancho’s Granddaughter

Camila is anxiously awaiting the return of her grandfather “Ato” as she lovingly calls him. She created a long list of things she wants to do when he returns. Camila has kept me and her grandma calm by reminding us that God and his angels will get her “Ato” out of this.
