Porsha Collier Funeral Expense

I am Stephanie Zettlemoyer and I am raising money to help my niece’s parents with her funeral expenses.

To know Porsha was to love her! She could light up any room with her gorgeous smile. She was just as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She loved her family and would do anything to help anyone. Porsha was 26 years old and diagnosed 2 and half years ago with auto immune disorders (Rheumatoid arthritis, Fibromyalgia), hypothyroidism and an iron deficiency. She had been really sick the last few weeks and Tuesday she was admitted to St. Thomas Rutherford hospital due to loss of blood and her platelet counts being extremely low. Her immune system was attacking her white and red blood cells faster than her body could make more. Since Tuesday she was given 7 pints of blood and 4 bags of platelets. The Oncologist team were working hard for a treatment to stop it but we lost her this morning. Our family is at loss for words and appreciate all the prayers we can get. Porsha Collier, age 26, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ronald Collier; great grandparents, Arthur “Pop” and Mary “Big Mama” Swader, and Minnie Bell Brewer.

She is survived by her parents, Tae and Kathy Collier; sister, Latoya Tiller; grandparents, Steve and Penny Wallace, and Deloris Swader; uncles, Jeffrey Zettlemoyer (Stephanie), Tyris Collier (Mammie); aunts, Jennifer Zettlemoyer and Marquita Frazier (Fred); eight cousins; the Kennedy’s, Ken, Tina, Evelyn, and Lindy; and many other family and friends.

Porsha was a graduate of Siegel High School. She was a beautiful, kind, and caring person. She always had a smile on her face and put others above herself. She was loved by all who knew her.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel from 2:00-4:00 PM. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM.
