Port Hacking Outrigger Canoe Club

On Saturday 28 May 2023, whilst our members were competing at the National Titles in Mooloolaba, almost our entire fleet of canoes stored at Darook Park was devastatingly set alight and completely destroyed by fire. Also destroyed were club training and steering paddles, lifejackets and other safety equipment that was stored securely at the site.

We have lost 1 racing and 2 training canoes - now a pile of ashes. Port Hacking OCC is a small yet growing club in the New South Wales Zone with social and competitive members of all ages. Our club strives to support our community and other clubs and we would greatly appreciate your support in our time of need.

Unfortunately, our insurance will not cover the full extent of the damage. This GoFundMe page has been set up to help us rebuild our club by assisting to purchase canoes and equipment to get us back on the water safely.
