Portable Oxygen Concentrator for Angelyn Walker

Donation protected
We are setting up this "Go Fund Me" account for Angelyn Walker because she is in need of medical assistance.  All those who know her love her.  This is an opportunity to help her.

A few years ago at her home, Angelyn's sister, found her unresponsive and not breathing.  911 was called and an ambulance took her to the hospital.  Doctor's there said that in 10 more minutes she would have been dead.  From there, she was life-flighted from Logan to the ICU at IMC (Murray, UT).  Thus began Angelyn’s breathing problems.  After many months of recovery, she was able to return to work for 15 hours a week with the assistance of oxygen.

Last fall, Angelyn tripped and fell on the cement breaking her arm in 2 places.  Two weeks later, while recovering at home, she tripped and fell on her broken arm again.  This resulted in a trip to the UofU hospital in SLC where her oxygen levels kept plummeting leading to another near death experience.  After five days of testing at the hospital, it was determined that when she broke her arm, fatty emboli traveled out of her bone marrow and into her lungs.  Later, doctors determined that Angelyn also has "Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome" (or ARDS).  Four months later, Angelyn still requires constant oxygen and has not been able to return to work.

Angelyn’s insurance will only cover one cylinder of oxygen per month. Each time she leaves the house she typically requires 1-3 cylinders of oxygen per day.  For this reason, Angelyn’s doctors have recommended she purchase a portable oxygen concentrator. The concentrator she needs costs $3000.  This is a huge financial burden for her since she has not been able to return to work.

Angelyn is trying her hardest to stay afloat physically and mentally.  She said, “Heavenly Father has spared my life twice now.  I guess I am still supposed to stay here—Help me stay.”
