Portillo Family Tornado Recovery
Our family could use your help.
My name is Nicholas Cowley and my wife and I live in Dallas, Texas. My sister Rachel's home, vehicles and livelihood were damaged by the tornado that ripped through Rowlett the day after Christmas. While her house sustained minor damage compared to her less fortunate neighbors (her house is still standing), the financial struggle that lies ahead is overwhelming. The furnace that landed on her roof left a large hole, causing structural and water damage to the interior of her home, making it temporarily unlivable. The family budget, already stretched by the holidays, can't meet the financial demands of the deductible for the repairs and the cost of temporary housing for the family.
Rachel, who has dedicated her career to providing vital services for the homeless community in Dallas, has been putting the needs of others ahead of her own by collecting donations of clothing, food and diapers for her even less fortunate neighbors. Rachel, Matt, Allison, Tyler, and their four dogs could use any donation you can afford to help them as they recover from the tornados that left them and so many others devastated. All donations will help the family meet the $6000 deductible and help cover any other incurred expenses and immediate needs related to the repair of their home.
With love and gratitude,
Nicholas and Dayna Cowley
