Portland Ocean Museum - A Place For All to Learn

Tax deductible
For the past seven years, Meet the Ocean has brought penguins and the polar regions to schools and children’s hospitals across the world. Now we seek to open an ocean museum in our home city of Portland, Oregon to bolster our local community and engage all who visit the Pacific Northwest.

Our 501c3 nonprofit has crafted award-winning conservation media, including films, podcasts, education tours and outreach programs.

Now, lead by polar expedition diver Paul North, whose background in theater and film creates a dynamic blend of entertainment and education- we endeavor to tap our vast network of marine scientists, explorers, and artists to visit our fair city to engage the next generation of ocean advocates.

The museum will be free to all and feature revolving monthly exhibits of underwater photography, art, and interactive science to inspire wonder and ocean literacy, so that all may know the value of planet’s saltwater ecosystems.

Bonus: Our museum will exist within the pre-existing children’s museum ExperimentPDX - a collaboration that will empower the community in a myriad of ways.

Help us achieve our budgetary goal to secure two years of impactful ocean education - because the future of our planet requires all hands on deck.
