Positive Movement is a non-profit Drill Team based in Philadelphia that strives to decrease gun violence by inspiring young people to express themselves through drumming, positive thinking and leadership.

They are currently trying to raise money so that they can purchase a new van for the group, making it easier to travel to performances with their members. The group's founder, Tony Royster aka Mr. Y NOT was recently featured in a short documentary film about his life and mission with PME, which is how I came to discover him in April 2020. The film can be found on their websites home page.
The group has gone viral twice with the help of popular mascot, Philly Elmo. Unfortunately, the tricky world of "content creation" and "going viral" does not always benefit the actual performance artists. Managing Positive Movement is a full-time job, which sadly does not include a salary. Regardless, Tony has committed his life to it's cause - in order to make an impact on Philadelphia, it's young people and their future. It is my hope that others will see what myself and anyone else who encounter's Tony has seen; Which is his constant willingness to sacrifice his own needs to further the PME mission of spreading positivity and uplifting the community. In my mind, there is no one more deserving of your support. He has been on this journey since founding Positive Movement in 2011, evolving it over time to be the most recognizable Drum Line in Philadelphia.
You can hire Positive Movement to perform at your next event here.
Any contribution that is made will be helpful and get them that much closer to new means of transportation. Thank you so much!
