The Positive Arts Movement, Inc.(P.A.M.) is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of performing, literary, and recording artists focused on education, advocacy, entertainment, agency, and events. The platform consists of a diverse mix of positive artists who extend their talent to uplift the community, demonstrate the value in positive performing arts, and develop compelling, socially-responsible performances. PAM administers an educational component steeped in positive and inspirational age-appropriate life lessons, agency representation for positive performing artists, advocacy to bring awareness to societal issues, and fundraising events designed to support channel partners.
P.A.M. represents 21st century cutting edge education related the entertainment industry focusing on at-risk youth. Our youth division has it's own mission which is to encourage youth to recognize their talents and prosper as leaders by encouraging positive self-awareness through activities that inextricably link the performing arts, academic excellence and social awareness. Participants will learn life lessons that will serve them well during their lifetime; while guiding them towards healthy decisions and diminishing the vicious cycle of poverty, abuse, and criminal activity.
Our signature projects, "Rimshot Urban Musical" and "The 11th Hour" are theatrical productions designed to bring awareness to societal issues that affect underserved communities. When we perform "Rimshot Urban Musical", we serve on the awareness and prevention of human trafficking--an epidemic concentrated in Atlanta, Georgia (and 13 other major US cities) . When we perform "The 11th Hour" we launch initiatives that inspire hope and foster empathy between the police force and inner city youth.
Meanwhile, we are touring an interactive learning experience called "Unleashed" to isolate scenes and teach our youth about peer pressure, positive self-image, parental conflict, bullying, the challenges associated with "fame", and combat negative stereotypes in pop culture.
Our artists are forward-thinking, resist the norm, and insist on using their artistry to make the world a better place.
We are hosting this fundraiser to secure a Positive Arts Movement complex so we can create a safe and nurturing environment for artists interested in using their talent to uplift the community. We will provide resources, host workshops, engage in ongoing and purposeful discussion, administer relevant classes, and host ongoing fundraising events. This fundraiser will also help with our operation budget, travel, legal, educational, and marketing expenses, purchase our own props, and shoot cinematic versions of the stage productions.
