Post Typhoid Medical Bill Fund

July 11th I was admitted to the ER after fighting a fever at home for a few days. When I reached the ER I was told I had somehow acquired Typhoid Fever and the infection had spread to my blood (sepsis) and had I not gotten to the ER that day I would have likely died. I even had to sign off for a blood transfusion and a ton of other potential treatments, most which didn’t have to happen, thank God . I was told
I had to pay almost $900 to be admitted to the ER so I put it on my credit card because I knew I was really sick and needed help.
I left the hospital with over $60,000 in hospital bills and the bills from doctor visits keep coming. After insurance coverage I’m looking at a minimum of $25,000 bill. I’m working on getting additional insurance to cover additional costs.
July was a heavy month and I’m juggling a lot. I was just accepted to go back to college in August and I just had a job transfer. I also had planned for a trip out of town to work on a environmental
project and see family in the same area in August before school starts on the 25th, which is currently looking dim.
Anything helps. Thank you.
