Potato Project

Cleveland County Potato Project is a faith based charity whose goal is to grow white and sweet potatoes and give them to needy residents.  Cleveland County is a rural county in North Carolina with 20% of its population earning less than the poverty rate.  This means a lot of senior citizens and children are going to bed hungry.  Our goal each year is to raise a minimum of 150,000 pounds of potatoes.  There is no paid staff for this 501C-3.  Annual expenses are $25,000.00

Land and equipment are loaned to us.  Most of the work is done by volunteers.  Businesses, civic clubs and religious groups are encouraged to grow potatoes for the project.  We really need your help.....God Bless You
