Potter Projects 2024 Production: "Dolos"

The creator of the Potter Project Alycia Potter has started her new adventure, this time she is bringing along actor turned director James Fletcher. A story of mythical underworlds, mystery and revenge. The story of a Rogue lost in the world of debt. This project is new and exciting as we venture into the practical and theatrical world of props, puppets and hand made elements… Why have CGI when you can have the real thing? A real creature from the underworld. With stunning visual elements planned to capture the desolate and dismay of our main protagonist. Our team is buzzing to share with you our latest project!

To uphold our already incredible reputation we’re aiming for a stylistic approach. Our cinematic vision is to combine a homemade mystical essence crossed with a mystical lord of the rings style aesthetic.

We have a trusted following of over 600 people through social media and have made many achievements along the way including winning the Norwich Film Festival in collaboration with the East Anglian Film Archive. Our team; the ‘Potter-Project’, began through a TikTok campaign reaching half a million people, which then expanded into a collaborative group of young talent from around the world wanting to break into the film industry. ‘A Stage of Grief’, our last project provided opportunities to those with limited access to the film-industry, and allowed them to gain an invaluable experience by helping to tell this coming-of-age story exploring relatable themes such as the loss of friendships and loved ones, which is yet to be released publicly. It has already had the success of winning and honourable mention at the widescreen festival in Canada!

At this time of Pre-production ‘Dolos’ has a completed 5-page script, conceptual production-design art, a secured prime-filming location, costume designs, shot-list and for the first time a specially commissioned puppet which stands nearly 12ft tall. Our previous work and success of working with amazing filmmakers is a testament to our team's collaboration and ability to reach the masses. We’re confident in our array of abilities to bring ‘Dolos’ to life and plan to begin filming in August/ September 2024, and would love to support our team financially however possible. We’ve set the target goal to cover our forecast expenditures, with your support it can only excel to get this project off the ground.
