Why Pour The Love?

 

I'm a friend of Maria Aleandra whose 37-year-old husband Jules is experiencing a rapid decline in the use of his limbs due to ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Motor Neurone Disease). For four years, he can not use his arms or hands, has lost his ability to walk, and Maria Aleandra is now caring full time and doing everything for him and being a mother to a 7-year-old.

 

 

 

This fundraiser I called "Pour The Love " for Jules , Skyler their 7-year-old son, primarily to create the best life possible with FULL SUPPORT of all of us, of all the equipment needed to make their travel possible, and lastly for basic human dignity. If you watch the video we made, you'll get to hear what this journey is like for a beloved young couple whose lives were flowing, with a new baby, and then BOOM ... along comes one of the fastest moving transformations we humans can experience. A heartbreaking experience for all of them as Jules, who is only 37, rapidly lost the use of his arms and hands. That happened two years ago.

 

 

 

 

Maria Aleandra is one of the most loving, committed, beautiful Souls you'll ever have the pleasure to meet. I was coaching her on her big vision, and a few days ago, she was talking about how to get her work out there. I had to interrupt her to exclaim, " you haven't got the bandwidth !" And instead, I suggested that we find a way to help her NOT WORK and instead focus on her family as ALS moves so, so fast.

 

 

And we talked about the cost of the equipment they need for Jules to live the best life he can. An adapted van which is in the region of $80,000, the $200,000 A YEAR EXTRA, a family dealing with Motor Neurone disease needs a year to cope, live-in support to give both Skyler and Maria Aleandra time to themselves to enjoy what a 7 year old loves to do. He had his father free of ALS for 2 years as a baby, and now lives a very different life with adult themes, due to their circumstances. I know that carers like Maria Aleandra will experience total burnout. She expressed to me that she was exhausted. This moves from love of Jules and purpose to the reality of dealing with putting herself second. She comes 3rd to the needs of Jules who needs support with the onslaught of ALS. Also, she is a fabulous mother and wants to give Skyler the best childhood ever. Regardless she is in Love with Jules, and he is with her. They have an extraordinary relationship. I am so moved by their love for one another that I felt compelled to pour my love upon them, and I'm asking this from their community even though you don't know me.

 

The facts of ALS are not fun. The prognosis is 2.5 years to 5 years in which the individual experiences their body basically shutting down, but not the mind. This cruel disease, you may know, took the playwright Sam Sheppard and the much-loved comedian Dudley Moore in the UK. These men were giants on the stage and had enormous personalities, and gradually, they couldn't move. The disease progresses super fast. We watch loved ones become paralysed and unable to speak. If that happens to Jules, we are setting up the best communication tools so you can send him messages via WhatApp in our group, and we can Pour The Love on him and the family, so they are supported entirely by a loving community.

 

 

I have no doubt the info and thread of the journey will be of great inspiration to any family dealing with ALS. These friends who do not ask for help now need help more than ever. They are the inspirations many of us need in life to know anything is possible.

 

So I'm asking directly for your help. Even $5 will go toward the community effort. I'm visualising this family free from the wants of everyday life so they can concentrate on the love that's between them. This is a true Karmic path.
