Powell Blvd. Skate Spot

The Portland Parks Bureau has given permission to Skaters for Portland Skateparks (SPS) to take the reins of the design, funding and building of a skate spot as allocated in the city's 19-skate park plan. On Aug. 3, 2005, Portland City Council passed an ordinance recommending 3 types of skateparks – 19 total – be built in Portland. The types include 13 neighborhood skate spots, 5 district-wide skateparks, and one central city anchor park.

Powell Blvd. is one of these skate spots!  With the public's help and carrying on the enthusiasm and popularity of the Brooklyn St. Skate Spot, SPS has been working with the original builder of BSSS, Jesse McDowell and others to come up with a similar vibe to the Powell  Blvd. Skate Spot. 

The total needed to build this spot is $30k and SPS has $15k in the bank that simply needs to be matched by this GoFund Me campaign.
