If you know Athena, you know that she likes to stay busy. However, for the last few years she has been dealing with the effects of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a degenerative connective tissue syndrome that has put her through multiple surgeries (double hip replacement, shoulder, ankle, and more on the way) as well as made it impossible for her to go back to work.

For Athena (and her wife Ashley), one of the hardest adjustments to make has been changing her routine when it comes to family outings; she is the proud bonus mom to Jade and Jack but can't manage activities that involve much walking. A foldable powerchair like the Whill Model F would enable her to join in on things like trips to the museum or the zoo, sports games, or the farmer's market.

Athena has shown up for all of us at one point or another; let's show up for her!
