wheelchair conversion power drive

UPDATED EDIT. --- -I am a multiple disabled man who uses a powerchair, and due to my needs, and life, I need the upgraded high end high speed motors that Medicaid does not cover!. I have to drive 4.6 miles to and from work, in East Tennessee we have very steep hills, I am unable to use buses and para vans for a number of reasons, i also cannot drive a vehicle for many reasons, and I don't qualify for loans or grants, we have tried waiver programs, insurances, grants, and similar... all have turned me down, they do not see upgraded motors or power conversion units as a need. they see it as luxury. so i need to get donateions / fundraising at this point. to get the electric drive conversion unit this my last option to get what i need. so i set up a GoFundMe.com posting to fundraise for te rio mobility electric handcycle power conversion unit for my manual so i can '' drive'' to work and back efficiently and safely.
. since the high end high speed powerchair motors are so expensive and its harder to raise funds for this in the time i need... i am changing over to a more affordable, doable option. for the Rio Mobility firefly power conversion electric hand cycle for manual wheelchairs. ( see link for details )

the upgrade / power drive conversion unit will get me safely to and from work, they will enable me to have more access to the community, get to and from my part time job safely and quickly, gives me more independence, and will enable me to run away if someone is bothering me, I can only work part time due to my disabilities so saving up the money for the motors, the wiring, electronics, the batteries and labor to put them on, is not realistic, plus it is a lot of momney to raise, and getting the cheaper power drive conversion for my manual is cheaper and in many ways more practical. and again: insurance will not buy upgrades, or thigns like this... neither will waiver and grant funds....insurance is only obligated to cover what gets you around INSIDE the home, from bed, to bathroom, to kitchen. and many wheelchair evals will deny you right away if you even mention needing it for work or anything outside your home . they absolutely will not cover it ! neither will state waiver and grant programs,
I cannot live life and be independent with the low speed low end motors Medicaid bought, I will burn them up before too much longer leaving me stuck, and unable to get to work, get groceries, and so on. I hope people out there can help me raise the money to get the high end high speed motors so I can drive myself , access and be part of the community, be and stay as independent as possible.
thank you
Shannon
