I made a most exceptional film for you, and now I am asking you for help to raise money for its publicity.

Hello everyone, my name is Bai Ling, I am asking for your help, because I have a vision of seeing this powerful provocative hilarious film and how I made this film become the 21st century’s inspirational story for all of us who have a dream.

I am an actress who took a bold chance, made my directorial debut film by risking everything during the most difficult height of the Covid19 pandemic quarantine lockdown, and completed this 118 minutes feature film. It is a story about the most difficult times of our lives, and the events we all went through. A profound story of looking for freedom and love.

With my heart’s joy, I want to share with you the excitement, share with you my journey. I believe in this film so much and I want to give this indie film the love and the chance it deserves to be seen by you.

I have already spent all my acting earned money to make this film. It was way more expensive than I ever imagined, and it left me struggling to pay my rent now, but still, I have no choice but to manage the very difficult and expensive publicity necessary in Hollywood for this film.

The truth is that this film already has its soul and momentum and it keeps telling me to push it and move forward, to find a way to give its gift, to make its impact on people and to provoke us to think and reevaluate the real meaning of our existence. COVID taught us a lot and changed our lives.

This film is probably the only film conceived and filmed during the height of the Covid 19 pandemic quarantine lockdown, a story about what happened during that time. I wanted to capture the most unique and challenging time of our lives through love and humor. To explore what can we do when we are on the edge of losing our minds in extreme danger and loneliness, it is our story for nearly three years of our lives now, a story that made a huge impact on our hearts.

Making this film was extremely difficult, I had no help and just me, I cried a lot while filming it. I had insomnia and woke up every day at 5 am to get Starbucks for my cast and crew. It reminded me of my years as a teenage soldier in Tibet, getting up every day also at 5 am but running.

I am still not sure how I had the courage and the strength to make this film, I did everything all by myself from writer, producer, director, leading actress, casting, and set designer, even wrote music and composed 11 songs for this film, as Charlie Chaplin did for his films. The only explanation I have is that: it is the universe that summonsed me and gave me the power and guts to do so. It is almost like making this film is my mission.

But now I achieved this film.

It is a story about a young woman's quarantine life. She locked herself in a single room, insanely fearful of going out catching Covid, yet she has no toilet paper left and is panicking more day by day, but with her survival instinct, she magically found a way to get 13 men and women one by one to visit her, give her toilet paper in exchange for sex, love and romance, but unfortunately, it all leads to a humorous catastrophe.

It is a hilarious romantic comedy, taking you on a most exhilarating roller coaster ride. Beautiful women, handsome and crazy men and even me turned into Mr. Charlie Chaplin.

This is my love letter to our world, to this historical time of our lives, and my love letter to all of you.

The ask:

I have a vision this film is going to go viral, I want to do massive publicity for this film, to find the best platform and distributor to bring it to the cinema.

Good publicity will cost about 5 to 6K a month. I would like to have at least 6 to 8 months of publicity, to hire the best PR in Hollywood. Industry insiders know that every article, interview, magazine cover, and talk show happens because you have someone in your corner pitching you to prestigious outlets, so you will have a chance to talk about your work. In other words, pouring yourself into a passion project like my film is only half the battle. Good publicity is crucial for my film to have its deserved chance.

You might think I am a dreamer, but I came to America from China all by myself without even knowing a word of English, then I found my Hollywood dream and became a successful actress. I want to tell you a secret after this film goes viral, I will bring it to Broadway.

Thank you so much for your help and love! Even a little help is tremendously appreciated, and also by sharing this will make me so happy!

I truly hope this film, and how I made this film will inspire you, help you deal with loneliness, frustration and loss, and bring hope, joy, laughter, and love to your heart and your life.

Let us have faith in life, in ourselves. We live once, let's dream and dream so big.

Thank you!
Bai Ling
