Powerhouse Gym LIC

Since September 2019, Powerhouse Gym began changes to reflect the L.I.C consumer and improve member experience.  While progress has been made, Covid 19 required closing the gym for nearly 6 months despite NYS 4th Stage Pandemic planning. 

Gov. Cuomo made tough choices for our state- choices that inevitably saved lives despite being ground zero once again.  Regardless, we have all
paid the price mentally and physically.  

Studios and gyms have been hit extremely hard without government support.  SVA loans appliedfor ended up being given to corporations leaving small businesses that effort daily lives the most in jeopardy of closing if they already have not. 

Debbie was unable to secure any loans despite being eligible, a woman owned business and pressing hard- even contacting local representatives offices  

Members have called prepay dues and send donations, yet Debbie has been too proud to considered these offers which is why I have decided to set up a Go-Fund-Me page.

At the very least, supporters can donate to help pay off equipment leases. These company’s are  headquartered throughout America, far from NY, and couldn’t care less about how our city is impacted. 

Let’s keep local businesses open and gyms as a forever part of our daily lives and routine. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
