Sacha Boals - Emergency Brain Surgery Fund
Donation protected
Last Wednesday June 8th, 2022 around 3:30 a.m., Sacha suffered a grand mal seizure while at her home in Ozark. Her husband, Brian, woke to his wife's distress and immediately called 911. She was assessed by the EMT's and ambulanced to Mercy Hospital Emergency Department in Springfield, MO for further treatment.
Within hours upon arrival they performed a CT scan followed by an MRI, where the ER doctor told her they had found a tumor in her right frontal lobe of her brain. The following day, June 9th, they had a consult with Dr. Amene, a neurosurgeon at Mercy Hospital. She told Sacha there was a tumor on her brain and it was likely the cause of her seizure. During the consult she let Sacha & Brian know that she was to be scheduled for brain surgery the following week.
Fast forward to June 14th, six days from her seizure and five days from her official diagnosis, Sacha readied herself for brain surgery armed with the strength and courage of a Spartan. During those past 6 days she didn't cry, complain nor acted afraid of the fast approaching reality of having a major brain surgery. As small business owners, Sacha and Brian continued their work as normal. (And as most small business owners know, there is no sick leave, paid time off, vacation or holiday pay that awaits them during time away in a medical emergency.) Sacha was literally mowing a day after her seizure, right up to the day she went in for surgery. If that's not true and absolute grit, strength and determination of mind over matter, than I don't know what is.
During these hard times Sacha will be recovering in the hospital and at home while Brian and their children will continue to run their company during the day and help care for Sacha at every free moment they can find. Not only will they get through this... but they ARE getting through this. One day at a time, with the help and love of every single family member and friend that has prayed, called, and offered help and support when and where they are needed.
Today we reach out, if you feel so moved, to help us rally together and give freely from your heart a donation that will help Sacha and her family pay for some of the unexpected expenses that a medical brain surgery emergency encompasses.
“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
