Help Fight Charges for Animal Rights Activists

Donation protected
On the 21st August 2021, animal rights activist Tash Peterson disrupted a Louis Vuitton store in Perth, Western Australia, to highlight the atrocities occurring to non-human animals in the leather, wool, fur, down, scale and silk industries. She was topless and painted her chest with blood to represent the brutal murder of animals in these industries - watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxik_wjoJuE&t=72s

A few days after the protest, the anti-terrorism police came to her house and issued a summons charge of Disorderly Conduct due to the protest. In addition, two other animal rights activists, Jack Higgs and Arkadius Swiebodzinski, were also charged with Disorderly Conduct for filming her protest.

The three activists have all plead Not Guilty and will be facing a two-day trial on the 31/03 and 01/04/22. This fundraiser will assist in representation costs for all three accused activists. Each accused activist may face a maximum $6000 fine if found guilty.

This protest received international media attention and allowed Tash to have a live discussion about animal rights on Sky News. In addition, other interviews were requested on various platforms due to this protest.

Background of the Accused Animal Rights Activists:

Tash Peterson has been a disruptive animal rights activist for over three years and has been involved in other forms of activism (AV, The Save Movement and DxE) since she became vegan five years ago. Tash has received significant media attention over the past two years due to her disruptive activism, inspiring thousands of people worldwide to watch Dominion and go vegan.

Jack Higgs has been involved in animal rights activism for five years when he started to get involved in Anonymous for the Voiceless outreach doing the "Cube of Truth" and Direct Action Everywhere protests. Jack began to film Tash's protests in 2020 and has filmed every protest she has done since then. He has faced trespass charges for filming her protests.

Arkadius Swiebodzinski was charged with Aggravated Burglary and Stealing in 2020 for assisting in the liberation of a bobby calf, Theo, who was destined for murder on a dairy farm. Arkadius has risked his freedom on many occasions for "trespassing" to expose the animal holocaust. In 2020, Arkadius was arrested and placed in a chokehold for entering a piggery in Queensland to expose the abhorrent conditions these enslaved individuals were forced to live in. Disclaimer: If activists are found Not Guilty, legal costs would likely be paid. In this circumstance, all money fundraised would be distributed to animal sanctuaries in need across Australia.
