Supporting Hawaii's Healthcare Workers with PPE

WE ARE RAISING MONEY TO PURCHASE PPE FOR FRONTLINE HEALTHCARE WORKERS FOR THE STATE OF HAWAII. ALL FUNDS RAISED BY FRIDAY, APRIL 10th WILL BE DONATED TO THE HAWAII NURSES' ASSOCIATION TO PURCHASE PPE.
As our local, national, and global communities struggle to fight the coronavirus crisis, the situation in most Emergency Rooms across the country is very concerning. While the situation changes daily, we know we will need more supplies of all personal protective equipment (PPE) around the country, and especially here in Hawai'i...and we need them NOW.
I am a pediatric dentist in Hawaii that recently had to close my business and layoff employees as a result of coronavirus. Because we no longer had a need for our unused PPE, we donated them to the Hawaii Nurses' Association through a contact we had. We learned of the incredible need for additional PPE throughout the State, and got inspired to do what we can to responsibly procure as much PPE for the frontline Healthcare workers in our State who are doing so much. AND TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!
We are starting this Go Fund Me campaign to quickly raise money for the Hawaii Nurses' Association to purchase PPE for frontline workers. The needs range from N95 masks, to disposable gowns and face shields. As needs change everyday, we are working with Daniel Ross, the president of the Hawaii Nurses' Association to purchase what is currently needed through their reputable suppliers. 100% of proceeds will go toward PPE for frontline Healthcare workers.
Whatever donations we have on April 7th, we will be sending that to HNA. Orders need to be placed ASAP to ensure our frontline workers have the protection they need to protect us all.
To all the frontline healthcare providers, THANK YOU for your courage and selfless sacrifice during these uncertain times. Thank you Dr. Brad Ching, Dr. Darragh O’Carroll, and Dr. Gene Liu for helping lay the groundwork for this campaign.
